2nd Annual Discovery Passage Boat Rodeo

Sponsored by The Maritime Heritage Centre Campbell River, BC

The Campbell River Maritime Heritage Society is proud to host the 2nd. Annual Discovery Passage Boat Rodeo. This fun filled family event will take place in front of the Robert Ostler Park on the banks of the Discovery Passage, August 19th 2007

We are show casing an exciting line-up to include; Tug boat events to honour the integral part these awesome working boats played in our local marine heritage, also in this line up will be Dozers, Sidewinders, and conventional Tugs.

As events unfold you will see tug boat push-offs & boat maneuvering competitions. Show casing some great demonstrations of power and abilities these boats have, doing their job on the BC Coast. Don’t miss this opportunity for a close up view of the boats and their crews in action. Joining them will be the famous Tyee rowboats in a race all their own. Finishing the day with entertainment on a water obstacle course by couples, where the rower is blindfolded and of course you can guess a verbal guide is needed but all in good fun, of course.

There will be prizes for the winners of each event. Snacks and Drinks will be available through out the event in the park area. There is No Charge to view the event.

Everyone is welcome
